Wilfred Cheung, Interim Chief Strategy, Transformation and Engagement Officer

Wilfred Cheung leads the transformation of home care through planning, change management and collaboration with system partners. His teams promote access to care while preparing leaders, staff, partners, patients, families and caregivers for the future. He provides leadership to teams dedicated to information technology, facilities management and communication services, which are essential components of modern digital service delivery and seamless patient care.
Since 2019, Wilfred has provided health system leadership at Ontario Health responsible for system partnerships, Ontario Health Teams, community engagement, health equity, and digital health strategy and analytics.
Throughout Wilfred’s career, he’s spearheaded initiatives focused on optimizing the health care system and leveraging analytics to inform decision making and resource allocation. He has worked with health system partners to implement digital and virtual care solutions enabling greater access to care and enhancing patient experiences across Ontario.
Along with a Master of Business Administration from Simon Fraser University, Wilfred holds certifications in Advanced Health Leadership (Rotman School of Management), Prosci Change Management (Prosci), Project Management Professional (Project Management Institute), and Lean Health Care Green Belt (Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers). Wilfred started his career in health care with Community Home Support Services Association (now SE Health) in Vancouver.
